Astral has been providing IT and recruiting services to organisations in South Africa since 1996.
Our initial focus in 1996 was on:
Supporting Sage Tetra (ERP solution from Tetra UK— now owned by Softline);
Delivering Microsoft on site training solutions;
Supplying desktops and peripherals.
In 1997 following the successful acquisition of an outsourcing contract with the local subsidiary of adidas (including provision of IT Management services, network support, Microsoft and Navision support). Our organisation grew from strength to strength.
We soon realised that our expertise lay in delivering business solutions to organisations so we partnered with Navision to become the first Navision Partner in South Africa and focused on ERP.
In 2003 we partnered with Symetrix Information Technology and helped them to establish a Navision business unit in Cape Town.
Today we are continually growing our Navision and Resources business units to new levels of excellence and achievements. What sets us apart from our competitors is our track record and understanding of what it takes to deliver reliable business solutions.
Our founder Paul Jensen has been involved in IT in South Africa since 1988.
Paul studied Computers and Accounting at Cape Technikon from 1989 to 1991. Then in 1993 and 1994 he completed his CPIM (Certificate in Production and Inventory Management) through SAPICS (South Africa Production and Inventory Control Society)
He has a broad range of ERP solutions from a wide range of solution providers:
Macro Computing Software (locally developed ERP solution)
Paul has developed, sold, implemented and supported ERP solutions in more than 60 different organisations as well as gained international experience with working stints in London.
